Bose withdraws contentious Urdu books for 3 classes in j&k
Srinagar, December 23, KNT: Board of school education has directed all institutions of Jammu and Kashmir, ladakh affiliated with Jkbose, Cbse, or any other board not to use text books of "Dareechae Urdu" for class 5th published by "Oscar publications" karna nager Srinagar and "Mehboob Urdu" for class 3rd and 5th published by Franklin international, New Delhi.

An order issued by Director Academics States that if these text books are being used in any school, those must be withdrawn immediately, otherwise strict action as warranted under provisions of law shall be initiated.
While condemning the act of publication of certain material that has hurt the sentiments of the people, the concerned publishers are directed to withdraw these text books immediately from all the schools wherever these have been distributed. (KNT)
