GDC Bomai Organises AIDS awareness Programme

Sopore, April 22 : Government Degree College Bomai on Saturday organised AIDS awareness programme under the Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with NSS unit of the college.

The event was presided over by principal GDC Bomai, Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Parray. The programme was aimed to spread awareness about the AIDS among the students.

The programme was attended by faculty members from different departments.

The introductory remarks of the programme were presented by principal, Dr. Parray who enlightened students the importance of awareness about the AIDS in society in general and youth in particular under RED RIBBON CLUB Of GDC Bomai.

The programme was coordinated by Prof. Shabir Ahmad, convener Red Ribbon Club and organised by Dr. Saleem Ahmad Yatoo, faculty of environmental science.

Students participated in the programme with Zeal and zest. They deliberated upon the necessity of spreading awareness regarding AIDS among youth with their ideas.

A formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Shabir Ahmad department of Botany (HOD). He expressed his gratitude to the principal GDC Bomai, Convener Red Ribbon Club and all participants, for making the event successful.
