Cancellation of OMR based objective Type Written Examination conducted for the posts of Sub-Inspector (Police) Home DepartmentWHEREAS, the Home Department, vide Indent No. Home/PB-III/34/2021
dated 02.07.2021, followed by letter dated 23.11.2021, requisitioned/referred, 1200 posts
of Sub-Inspector in J&K Police, UT cadre for direct recruitment to the J&K Services
Selection Board (JKSSB); and,
WHEREAS, the JKSSB, vide Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2021 dated
21.10.2021, invited online applications from eligible candidates for participating in the
selection process for the aforesaid 1200 Posts; and,
WHEREAS, the OMR based Written Examination for these 1200 posts was
conducted at various venues across the UT of J&K on 27.03.2022; and
Inspector (Home Department), advertised vide Notification No. 06 of 2021 dated
21.10.2021, was notified vide No SSB/Secy/SI(P)/2022/4687-4701 dated 04-06-2022; and
WHEREAS, after the declaration of result/score sheets, some
newspapers/online news portals carried reports of alleged irregularities/leakage of
question paper; and.,
WHEREAS, the General Administration Department, vide Government Order
No 687-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 10-06-2022, constituted an Inquiry Committee to enquire
into the alleged irregularities in the Written Test for these aforesaid posts of Sub-Inspector
in the Home department; and
MTGORBIV/135/2022-09-GAD dated 21-07-2022, conveyed the instructions for
cancellation of the aforesaid OMR based Written Examination held on 27.03.2022; and,
WHEREAS, the matter was deliberated in the Board in its 206th meeting held
on 22.07.2022;
Now, therefore, in view of the above, the OMR Based Objective Type Written
Examination for the post of Sub-Inspector (Police), Home Department, advertised vide
Notification No. 06 of 2021 dated 21.10.2021, under Item No.668, conducted on
the result/score 27.03.2022, along-with sheet, notified vide No
SSB/Secy/SI(P)/2022/4687-4701 dated 04-06-2022 are hereby cancelled ab-initio.
